Louisville Kentucky Home Insider: iMovie - WOW Clients & Attract Buyers

iMovie - WOW Clients & Attract Buyers

iMovie is a great tool to WOW your clients and attract buyers online...

Video is "the way to go", right?? I'm sure you've heard all of the positive aspects of implementing video into your business, but I feel many agents in the industry are intimidated by the use of video when they really should be embracing it. Many can't get past the obstacles of:

Where do I start? What should I use? But what if I'm not experienced at video??

I'm sure everyone has seen the "Virtual Tours" where the photos pan across the screen (I have been guilty of this myself). What good does that do for a buyer when they have already seen the photos?...Buyers want to feel as if they are inside the home and are taking a tour so lets give it to them!! After all, the 1st showing is online right?

Recently I have really made a push with my listings to implement video to better showcase the home. After experimenting with a variety of video apps I have determined that "iMovie" is the best in terms of quality, ease of use and it works right on my handy iPhone 5. After downloading the app from the Apple store for $4.99, I quickly & intuitively learned how to shoot & edit the video right on my phone (actually a lot of fun).

Here's my 1st two virtual tours, each taking about an 1-2 hours to shoot, edit and publish directly to YouTube. After I get more acclimated to the app I feel I'll be able to knock out video tours in about 45 minutes or less. Let me know what you think! Remember these were shot directly on my cell phone (they did lose a little bit of playback quality once I embedded them from YouTube)

826 Packard Avenue - SOLD in 15 days!

5701 Wooded Lake Drive - SOLD in 42 days!

Hopefully this will inspire you to get going with shooting your own virtual tours. This will allow you to save $$, WOW your sellers and attract potential buyers online by making your property stand out!

Sean, I must say the videos are as good as I have seen. I have an android phone, so I will have to see if there is a similar compatible app for it.

Kathy - I believe Android has a similar app called "WeVideo"

Sean, iMovie seems like a great value for the multitude of benefits it brings to one's business... and of course, to potential clients. Thank you for sharing.

Have you heard of an ollo clip for your Iphone.  It greatly increases the range of view for your Iphone - it works wonders for video.

One more tip - Get a "Steadycam Smoothee" .  It holds your Iphone and you can virtually have high quality video with no movement at all.  About $160 on amazon.

Check them both out - I am going with the gopro3  with the steadycam -as I am not an Iphone man.  The iphone5 has an incredible camera though!

This is on my agenda. I get lots of inquiries about new construction and I'm going to use video to showcase the models on my website. As well as, my listings. Very nice job.
